Taking place in the year 2277, the player known as the Lone Wanderer goes through life in Vault 101. Once young adulthood hits, his/her father leaves Vault 101, triggering events in motion that causes the Lone Wanderer to escape too on a quest to find him. While on this quest, he/she must make decisions that align best with his/her morals, or at least has the best chances to complete the mission while dealing with not only the wasteland's occupants, but the Enclave.
