It's rather disappointing that my last thread for.EXE5 was ignored when there was a lot more attention for.EXE4 2 years back.EXE5 was a much better game! I don't have all the details on what's up in this one except that it's supposed to max out the GBA and deliver a big dramatic finale. I'll provide details on exclusives and more here when I get my hands on it.Will you go Falzar? That is for you to decide!

Is this game signifigantly better than BN5?I loved BN1-3, but the fetch quests quickly turned me off to the series. BN5's system of 'Get to point A now, then discover you can't get through, so go through the real world to get something, then go back to A again' annoyed the ever-loving. out of me. I couldn't even bear to finish the damn thing. The areas around the net were way too confusingly designed and not fun at all to travel. If BN6 gets back to the roots of 1-3, I'll buy one at launch day.

If not, I doubt I'll give it a chance. Any who, this time around they've axed the tournament system and went back to the original style. There’s also a new addition: Liberation missions. They’re basically a mix of the usual battles with turn-based strategy on the field. You'll be taking turns with your own team of navis against the Darkloids. This all takes place on fixed maps full of special tiles called “Dark Panels” that contain viruses. The goal for each mission is to liberate the dark panels/holes and reach the boss at the end.

To liberate a panel, you walk up to it and choose to “Liberate” and you’ll be tossed into the typical MMBN battle, but with a new set of rules. Depending on what position you’re in when you initiated the liberation, you may be at an advantage or disadvantage with how much movement you have. On top of that, when you liberate a panel you must destroy the viruses within three turns. The custom gauge will also automatically open as soon as it fills up, so you’ll have to work fast. If you cannot delete all the viruses in the allotted time, then you’ll have failed the liberation attempt. Failure only means you didn’t clear the panel and will have to try the next turn or with another navi.

Something else that should be noted is that if you can finish the battle within the first turn, you’ll pull off 1-turn liberation which will clear all the dark panels around you. (Does not include mini bosses/dark holes) Besides the mentioned above, there’s no reward besides self-satisfaction for clearing a liberation battle, no chips or zenny! Though, if you can clear the entire mission itself within certain about of turns, you will end up with a nice chip.

Now, as mentioned earlier, you get to command an entire team of navis this time around. Meaning you can do battle with someone else besides Megaman. This brings about new charge abilities and affinities for you to take advantage of during battle. They also have special field abilities such as the ability to clear multiple dark panels or have a perfect defense during the current phase. However, field abilities can executed if you have the order points for them.

You start with 3 in the beginning and can be replenished by clearing the special dark panels. ALL of the games were like this.I like the series. I thought 3 had the best story, but, I had more fun with the Soul System and team battles of the later entries. I just hope they didn't rape the battle system anymore, with that annoyance that was, Only 1 specific PA a battle in 5. That, and I WANT BASS! He is by far the best, and strongest (aside from Megas punk ass.) in the series. I mean, the guy punched a.ing hole in the internet, and caused the whole net itself to have an earthquake (well part of it atleast).

Are they giving him a relevant role again? Or, are they making him the Super Tough final boss (I have no problems with this)?Edit: Well, almost forgot.Serenade Bass megaman. Funny because for me it's the reverse. 4 had all the tournament crap. Did capcom forget to pay the guy who made the dungeons in the first three battle network and decided to do this?

5 as 18 bosses. Of these 18,9 are old boss taken out from old MMBN. Again why do this? Why make you repeat a dungeon again?,why most of the enemy are the same of the old mmbn? Why don't make the two version totaly different since you already did all the team crap? It's hard to believe that MMBN6 will turn out good after MMBN5. Funny because for me it's the reverse.

It's hard to believe that MMBN6 will turn out good after MMBN5. 5.5 PresentationThe Battle Network series has a great look, and this version is no different. It isn’t getting worse, but it is getting old. The cast is new, but weaker as well.5.0 GraphicsMega Man Battle Network 6 adds basically nothing to previous versions of the game. Sure it all looks good, but it’s five years old. New animations and character models needed…now.5.0 SoundMuch like the graphical presentation, the audio samples and some of the tracks are rehashed from the previous games.

Game or Patch Questions? F1 2000 game.

Still sounds decent, but it isn’t fresh.5.5 GameplayThe new battle elements are amazingly fun, but they’ve come too late in the game to revitalize the series. Most of the game simply feels like we’ve been there, done that.5.5 Lasting AppealIt’s a huge adventure with tons of collection aspects and an entertaining battle system. How many times can you replay the same game though?5.5Mediocre OVERALL(out of 10 / not an average).

Anime. Miscellaneous. Ultra ball cost.

This may be off topic but I'll ask anyway. I just got Battle Network 5 for the DS.

Mega

I'm a bit confused about some stuff so wondering if someone can answer these questions for me.#1. Is it worth buying Battle Network 5 for the GBA to get the unlockable Cross?#2. What was stripped out of this version of the game that's in the Japanese version? I see some random stuff on a Chaos Lord Megaman, but none of the FAQs or posts on the other sites I've visited talk about it.#3.

Is Battle Network 6 better than 5 by a marginal degree? I'm thinking about getting it, but I want to beat 5 before moving onto 6.
