You don’t have enough information or experience to know everything about the new update.To kick it off, you don’t lose belt progress is someone fights you. You only lose belt progress if you fight someone but your ninja gets killed (most likely because you didn’t plan your attacks right).Now, the developers have reduced the amount of karma needed to train your ninja, they have also made the matchmaking slightly easier than before to take into account the new system. They have warned people that most of the players may quit because of the recent update, the reason being is that most players like repetitiveness and grinding, if you are one of those, then you will probably be part of the large group who dislike the update. The reason people are quitting isn’t solely because of the loss of ninja belt progression, but because of the lack of skills and patience, it takes time to know how to attack your opponents to win them every time, you will also need to know your clan’s limits for finding opponents. Yeah, the combat in this isn’t that strategic.
It’s no moreso now than it was before. If your opponent has more than five black belts, they’ll definitely target one of your ninjas that was weakened in the first round.
So, you have a good chance of losing progress the second round even with the best relics you can get in the shop and fully upgraded ninjas. It’s not like you can choose to have some of your ninjas to leave the battlefield between rounds so that your opponent can’t instantly target someone who got weakened. It’s not like the battle system uses a grid where you can strategically maneuver your ninjas to avoid damage to them. Tactics aren’t a factor. The only way you can really safeguard yourself is to bully people who don’t stand a chance. Actually, I have 19 Black Belt ninjas, taking only 10 to battle, I fight other clans with 10 Black Belts and with my strategy, I can manage to walk away with a win and all ninjas still alive.
When you say you will still lose with the best relics you can get, you clearly haven’t used them all, using 2 golden tiger eye relics, I can achieve the result I mention earlier. The golden tiger eye relics are over-powered but that shouldn’t change.I think people don’t like the update because the grind they had before was lazier than it is now. You actually have to had a strategy to be able to win effectively without losing belt progression. Yes its good strat, but not one you can plan for, and should not penalize the player. (Hurray im bumping dis thread.) The belt stripe removal IS really annoying buuuut I don’t think its the only reason why alot of people quitI think its because of the small use of gold and how you need karma for EVERY SINGLE THING!!! You only use gold for buying weapons and thats it!
Before buying weapons you have to train your ninjas and use karma to upgrade the friggen weapon shop and not the OWNER of the weapon shop.sigh. maybe its not ALL that bad you can also use gold to train more ninjas so you can make an ARMY of ninjas! See how awesome that- WAIT you need to upgrade your blimp to bring more ninjas!?

Boggle with friends word game. This is a late comment I know, but there is one thing that nobody has brought up yet and it surprised me a little bit. If you couldn’t already tell by Ninja Warz 1, the dev only cares about money. After the popularity of Ninja Warz 1, they made Ninja Warz 2 even more pay2win and their excuse was losing karma on death was just a fix to the oldest players being the strongest.
This excuse they made up was stupid and made absolutely no sense. The only reason you lose karma on death is so you have more of a reason to want to buy karma, to get that lost progress back. If you ask me I would just not buy into this scam and let Broken Bulb kill their game off.
Here's how it should work, you shouldn't be able to go another belt down, but you should lose a stripe, if you don't have any stripes, on any ninja, then you shouldn't lose a belt stripe. For example, if you were watching naruto, and the weakest character got faced with a ninja of the highest order (Hokage) and they lose. When they LOSE should they have to redo the entire training session? I think you should lose stripes, but you shouldn't be able to go another belt down. That's how it should work.
